We are pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of TecCom, our leading B2B platform for order management processes in the independent automotive aftermarket.
Founded at Automechanika Frankfurt in 2000 and officially registered on 19 September 2000, TecCom was created to solve one of the industry’s biggest challenges: the need to replace slow and error-prone manual order processes with standardised digital transactions. Backed by 20 leading aftermarket players, it quickly established itself as the European market leader.
From the very beginning, TecCom was built on a clear belief: digitalisation is the key to progress in the aftermarket. That principle still holds true today, as new technologies and developments such as AI, Web3, and the metaverse bring both challenges and opportunities. TecCom’s role remains clear: help the industry address these challenges together, by expanding its platform, enhancing data and automation services, and strengthening the aftermarket community across the globe.
Today, TecCom Order connects more than 35,000 wholesalers and 280 suppliers, processing over 12 million transactions a year across more than 50 countries. The platform’s growth, from its start in Europe to recent expansion into North America and other regions, reflects a longstanding industry shift toward connected, automated trade.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, we hosted the TecCom Community Meeting DACH on 24–25 September in Cologne. More than 50 participants from across the region gathered to discuss pressing challenges and opportunities in the independent aftermarket. Key topics included sustainability and regulation, the role of AI and automation, and the future of digital sales channels. The event highlighted that, just as 25 years ago, collaboration and trust remain the foundation for shaping the aftermarket’s digital future.
